Francesca Tang

I am a QAPS postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Politics at Princeton University, working with Professor Rocío Titiunik. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University in 2022, where I was advised by Professor Jianqing Fan. I received my Bachelor's in Mathematics from Duke University in 2017.

My research interests generally involve the application of statistical and machine learning methods to American politics. In the past I have worked on financial econometrics and biostatistics but I now focus on quantitative measurements of nationalization, polarization, and charisma in political science.
